Quaker Links
The links below are provided here to help Friends and others to explore the internet for Quaker-related material. As Quakerism is not defined by a fixed set of beliefs, it is wise to remember the story of the 3 blind men and the elephant. That is to say, you may find sites which express some aspect of the truth at the expense of other, equally valuable, aspects. If you would like to suggest other links that might be added, please mention them to Roger Wilson after Meeting sometime.
British Quaker website - a good starting-point
Quaker forum - a discussion place.
The Quaker Bookshop online
Quaker Week - the website listing outreach week activities.
Nontheist Friends - some Friends find the concept of God so difficult that they prefer not to worry about it too much. Thought-provoking even if you don't agree.
Quaker Faith and Practice - the on-line version of the book that tries to include as much about UK Quakerism as it can. It's all here, mostly.
QuakerQuaker - Internation and idiosycratic. it's a big world out there, with lots of Quakers saying lots of different things.
Woodbrooke - the Quaker study centre near Birmingham. Bursaries can be made available, and the Friends appointed to attend courses by a Meeting can claim the costs - talk to an Overseer.
Quakerpedia - yes, there's a Quaker wiki, in alpha at present.
Northern Friends Peace Board - is what it says on the tin...
There is no link to Quaker Oats, as that belongs to Pepsi-Cola and has no Quaker connection. Never has had, as far as I know.
