Quaker Peace Garden

The Garden is tucked away between the Bluecoat Arts Centre on one side and BBC Radio Merseyside and Liverpool Quakers on the other. This courtyard is an increasingly popular short cut between the older shopping centre and Liverpool One retail development. joining School Lane and College Lane.
It was once a bare cobbled space…but not any more!

Now there are trees with benches beneath, sweet smelling herbs and all manner of plants to attract not only people but all manner of wildlife.

The garden themes are perhaps the most important issues of our time: Sustainability and Peace. The garden, intended to be a restful and nurturing place, is made up of beautiful and useful plants. All materials used, from non-peat compost to recycled plastic planters and seating, are planet friendly.

We are happy that it has become an oasis in the City where people can sit and rest a while.

All are welcome

We are centrally located, right next door to the Bluecoat Arts Centre and behind Primark. The building is accessible to all, has a lift to all floors, disabled facilities and an induction loop system.
